Equestrian Symposium Draws Top Athletes, Judges to Maine

Pineland Farms to Host Prestigious Event Featuring Olympic Riders and Judges

New Gloucester, ME?The New England Dressage Association (NEDA) will be hosting its premier educational event, the annual Fall Symposium, at Pineland Farms this October 26th through 28th. Over 300 riding enthusiasts and competitors from across the Northeast will come to Maine to participate in two days of educational clinics and demonstration riding. This is the first time that the annual Symposium has come to Maine, highlighting the growing stature of the Pineland Farms Equestrian Center in the world of competitive riding.

In addition to the hundreds of riders coming to Maine, the Symposium will feature two guest clinicians with impressive Olympic resumes: three-time Canadian Olympic rider, Ashley Holzer and Olympic Judge and former British team member, Stephen Clarke. Both Clarke and Holzer are coming to Pineland after participating in the Summer Games in London. In addition, Michael Poulin, who hails from Fairfield, Maine and won a Bronze Medal in Barcelona, will be on hand for the event in his capacity as a Trainer for the Pineland team.

?Both Ashley and Stephen will be fresh off the London Games, and in addition to great teaching, we look forward to hearing the stories of their Olympic experiences,? says Jennifer Dillon, NEDA Fall Symposium Coordinator. ?It is an incredible opportunity for riders to come to Pineland Farms and learn from some of the best in the sport.?

The NEDA Fall Symposium will begin on the evening of Friday, October 26 with a free wine tasting at the Pineland Farms Market. Programming will begin at 8:00AM on Saturday and Sunday mornings, and Saturday night will feature a dinner and celebration with remarks by Ashley Holzer and Stephen Clarke.
