Ogio Ozone Stand Bag: Pros and Cons

Ogio is an innovative, dynamic company that makes great golf bags. An Ogio golf bag has versatility, convenience and durability. These adjectives also describe the Ogio Ozone, which is one of Ogio's best-selling stand bags. It is lightweight and functional, and has all the features that golfers who walk the course could want.

The numerous advantages of the Ozone make it worth considering if you are in the market for a new bag. One thing to note when looking at the Ozone is that there are actually two models. The Ozone is the less expensive model while the Ozone XX is the more expensive model. Both have great features, but the Ozone XX has Ogio's XX molded shoulder straps while the cheaper model simply has triple triangle straps. The price difference is about 30 USD at regular price.

Ogio is known for its melding of style and functionality and this is one of the greatest advantages of the Ozone.

The regular model comes in four colors, from classic black to a hip white and red graphic print. The XX model has even more variety, with variations of black and charcoal to a modern orange, white, and black graphic print. You can be sure there is a bag that will suit your sense of style.

Seven pockets, six of them with zippers will keep all your gear safe and handy. The fleece-lined valuables pocket is an especially nice addition, as it will keep your watch, cell phone and other valuables from getting lost or scratched. You will be easily able to hydrate while walking since the water bottle pocket is accessible while carrying the bag.

The golf ball silo is another great feature of this bag, and has been found to be very convenient.

There is space to store three balls on the front of the bag, which means you don't need to unzip the ball pouch each time you need a new ball. Club length dividers and a nine inch Woode top keep your clubs secure and in great condition. The easy to use grab handle at the top is great for lowering the bag.

The Ozone's weight will not weigh you down. At a mere 5.5 pounds, it includes a hip pad designed to allow air flow as well as comfortable shoulder straps. These combined will keep you from regretting your round due to sore shoulders and a sore back.

The great features of the Ozone outweigh the negatives, but there are nonetheless a few things lacking. Some have found the stand legs inadequate, complaining that the feet are too small. Thus the bag sinks into wet ground and wobbles on uneven ground. The shoulder straps can be difficult to adjust, and it is necessary to adjust them to get a comfortable carry. Some also feel that the bag is not angled enough when being carried and that their clubs may fall out.

As with any product, this bag has its disadvantages. But there are more benefits than drawbacks and overall the bag has gotten great reviews. Whether you are young, old, a beginning golfer or a pro, you will find something to like about the Ogio Ozone.
